Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that nine UK universities will set up campuses in India, which will be a milestone in bilateral educational cooperation. The Prime Minister made this announcement after meeting British Prime Minister Keir Starmer at the Raj Bhavan in Mumbai.
In addition to the renowned University of Southampton, which has already started operations, UK universities such as Liverpool, York, Aberdeen and Bristol are planning to set up campuses in India, according to national media reports.
Starmer said that his visit to India is to strengthen bilateral trade agreements. He also described the agreement as a crucial element of cooperation between the two countries.
